Last night I had two people from music theory in my room. We were going to study, and we did for maybe 15 minutes before we distracted ourselves. And distracted ourselves. The conversation while I was trying to figure something out in Amy's Poison Tree was hilarious, made more so by the fact that they hadn't gotten much sleep the night before. I was tired enough that it amused me too. We ended up downstairs to watch Glee and then they played a Nintendo game while I continued chatting with Amy (I'm horrible at video games; I could not play them as a kid). I went to go to bed when 1am rolled around. But then I walked out of the bathroom and saw a line of seven people on their bellies looking out the window on the landing between the second and third floor (the windows go from halfway up the landing below to the ceiling on that landing, so floor-level is about midway up the window). There were giggles. I wish I had a camera, because it was a funny position to walk out and see. I joined the group at the window with three people (the other one already had four). Apparently one of our sophomores had pranked a friend on the collegeacb and invited him to meet her in the parking lot across from our dorm. So we watched him meandering all over the parking lot. And then one of our people went to talk to him. We thought she was going to tell on us, but when she got back she told us that she'd told him that she was taking a walk to clear her head. "What are you doing?" she said. "I'm taking a walk too," he said. We cracked up.
And then I finally decided to go to bed. I socialized! It was totally worth staying up until 2am and not studying.
See, I have an excuse not to do things, since one of the things I'm working on is being social. :D
